What a Woman Should Know about Her Pro-Biotics Requirements?

How much is this important to have a healthy digestive system and how it affects the quality of life? The answers will be found as the article proceeds. Usually, people ignore the fact that the food they are eating, impacts their stomach health. And, how does this happen?

Our stomach naturally contains healthy bacteria, known as pro-biotics, which are involved in the digestion process. And, to enhance their efficiency, pre-biotics; the food components consumed by the pro-biotics, are required. Although, improved digestion is a need of everyone, but in the case of women, particularly pregnant women, digestive health is more important as it may affect the baby’s health. The balance between the pro-biotics and pre-biotics is beneficial in keeping the digestive tract healthy. By adopting a healthy lifestyle and improving her dietary habits a woman can achieve her pro-biotics and pre-biotics balance. Here are some healthy guidelines to maintain the digestive health.

Balanced Diet:

Try to eat a balanced and nutrient rich diet which will help to improve the activity of good bacteria naturally present in the stomach. Include more fiber rich foods such as fresh vegetables, fruits and legumes in diet as these help in relieving constipation and improving the actions of pro-biotics present in the stomach. Add yogurt in meals too as it is a natural source of pro-biotics and pre-biotics which are essential for a healthy digestive system. Avoid refined and processed foods as these are rich in saturated fats which slow down the digestion process and reduce the amount of pro-biotics in the stomach.

Stay Hydrated:

Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day but avoid to drink water at the end of any meal because it leads to indigestion and food stays longer in the stomach which affects nutrient absorption and also causes constipation. Furthermore, the longer the food stays in stomach the more acid will be secreted leading towards acidity and heartburns.

Exercise:

Stay physically active, walk for at least half hour daily and also walk for few minutes after the meal. It will help to improve the digestive health as it is essential for the bowel movement.

Supplements for Digestive Health:

In the time of need, a woman should prefer probiotics-fortified supplements to improve her stomach health. As we mentioned earlier that probiotics are the living organisms and there should be no compromise over their quality management. To provide the safest probiotic supplements in market, FDA is working to assure their purity and quality by introducing strict and reliable policies.

Here are some supplements which do not contain pro-biotics but can be helpful for a female to improve her digestive health by acting as pre-biotics:
